The first western shot in Israel (as opposed to cheap runaway productions in Spain or Italy) stars Peck as a grizzled old Scottish bandit who teams up with a young half-breed, Arnaz, to pull a robbery. Things go badly--the two accidentally kill a citizen, and the haul only nets them $420.
Arnaz is captured, and Peck rescues him only to be severely wounded by a gunshot to his leg. Now the tables are turned, and the older, more experienced outlaw must rely on the young bandit. While on the run they encounter the homestead of an old rancher and his young wife. Peck pays the rancher to
