Autry plays a dual role as himself and his own stuntman: the western star skips out on an appearance at the Texas Centennial in Dallas (where on-location scenes were filmed) and his double takes over for him, which confuses each's fiancee, as well as gangsters who look for the star and are pummeled by the stuntman.
