Monotonous tale of a young married couple who have trouble maintaining their marriage due to work schedules. Albertson plays a jazz bandleader who must travel to Paris for a gig. Young is the wife he leaves behind. She decides to go to New York and get a job as an advertising copy writer. When the bandleader returns from Paris he is shocked to find his wife and her boss smooching in their apartment. The boss swears he didn't know she was married, and then does everything he possibly can to spur a divorce between the two so he can move in on his employee. The tired humor and ridiculous shock device (the audience doesn't find out that the couple is actually married until the boss does) make this hard to sit through. The entirely forgettable jazz tunes don't help either. leave a comment
