Strange but true: An all-star clambake comes out spoiled. Dorothy Wyndham (Dorothy Lamour) bails her boyfriend, radio announcer Buzz Fielding (Bob Hope), out of jail where he's languishing for failure to pay alimony to not one, but three ex-wives, in time to board the S. S. Gigantic. The Gigantic and the S. S. Colossal are debarking simultaneously on a race from New York to Cherbourg, France. The Colossal is delayed by the accident-prone S.B. Bellows (W.C. Fields), whose brother, T.
