An intellectual exercise in the politics of sexual game playing with Sanda starring as the socialist free-love poet Andreas-Salome, Josephson as philosopher Nietzsche, and Powell as the intellectual physician Ree. The three become involved in a
menage a trois, devoting as much of their
lives to bedroom antics as to psychological insights--neither of which seems worth much. Before long the goings-on all become rather absurd and will no doubt pass over the heads of many a moviegoer. Josephson's performance rivals his role in Ingmar Bergman's AFTER THE REHEARSAL, released the same
year. Poorly dubbed into English.
