Stevens and O'Brien are patrol-car pals who break up the activities of Buka, a notorious gangster. Buka gets into a shootout with Stevens and O'Brien and is captured. He escapes jail and seeks out his captors, killing Stevens. He is trapped again when visiting his moll, Robbins. He uses a small child as a shield and almost gets away with it until O'Brien finishes him off. Storm is the sweetie that Stevens and O'Brien both like. With Mark out of the way, Ed can and does move in. Buka is excellent as the killer, and Robbins sings well in her role as the nightclub tootsie. Roland Winters is quite good as a gangster and almost makes you forget how ordinary he was in the six "Charlie Chan" features he made for Monogram. leave a comment
