Rogers is a poor showgirl living in the fabulous villa owned by Baker, her wealthy lover. He promises that his divorce will be final soon and that they can wed and live gaudily ever after. She then learns that he has no intention of shedding his first wife. What she doesn't know, however, is that Baker forges British gold coins.
