Question: As a fan of Beautiful People and seeing how short this last season was, I was wondering if you knew if there would be another season and if we will have to wait until after the summer. I see a new summer show, Falcon Beach, is being advertised (maybe like Summerland?) and figured maybe this was going to take Beautiful People's spot for the summer. Just wondering if you knew anything.
Answer: It's way too early to know about People's renewal (probably no word until midsummer, which means no new episodes for a while if ever), but consider Falcon Beach for your new guilty pleasure, if you're into that sort of thing. It will be filling the slot where People previously aired ...

Question: Hi, Matt! I am one of those very concerned fans who fears losing great shows such as Everwood, Gilmore Girls, etc., with the WB/UPN merge. I noticed the other day that ABC Family is sporting a show called Beautiful People. What are your thoughts on the possibility of some of these shows being sold to ABC Family? They already rerun some of the WB shows, so why not take on new episodes? I know that it looks like Gilmore Girls will remain, but I can't lose Everwood. I also like One Tree Hill and was a fan of Related. I know you hated it, but week after week it improved and became one of the shows I looked forward to watching. Anyway, I was watching the show Beautiful People and wondered if there might be a place for some of the WB shows on ABC Family. Your thoughts? Also, is there anything a desperate fan can do to save our favorite shows? Do networks really pay attention to petitions?
Answer: I'm not sure petitions, online or otherwise, will help the CW powers-that-be in making

Hi, my name is Angel, I'm 31-years-old and I'm addicted to teen shows. (OK, really all TV, but it is especially embarrassing that I love these). Now can someone send me to that rockin' rehab where Kirsten on The O.C. is staying? Anyway, my current obsession is the ABC Family show Wildfire, and I think they are trying to kill me. I'm all for cliff-hanger endings, I've been patiently waiting all summer to find out what Luke said to Lorelai (please be "yes"), who is behind Veronica's door (please be Logan) and what the heck is in that hatch (please be something cool). However, now I'm left hanging, and in the worst way: It literally stopped in the middle of an important scene. Will Kris win her horse race and show up that nasty Tina? More importantly, will she get back together with that fun-lovin' Junior? And how will Dani cope with the news that she and Junior are only step sibs and that Daddy Dearest has been lying to her all along? Thank good

Question: What's your view on Beautiful People?
Answer: I'm a big fan of beautiful people — in fact, the prettier the better. Oh, wait, you mean the show on ABC Family. Silly me. I was disappointed by the season premiere, mostly because it reduced Daphne Zuniga to a glorified extra. I also felt like it wanted desperately to be a big-city Gilmore Girls and, well, homey don't play that. But just when I was about to write this show off, they go and exploit Zuniga's Melrose Place connections in a way that brings a tear to my eye. For the Sept. 26 season finale, Zuniga will be reunited with her MP leading man
