The Beast Must Die

A dull, talky attempt to combine a werewolf movie with THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME, THE BEAST MUST DIE concerns a millionaire big-game hunter (Lockhart) who invites an odd assortment of guests to his English manor. Believing one of his guests to be a werewolf, the millionaire plans to unmask the monster and then hunt him down. The only point of interest here is a William Castle-type gimmick, introduced in the prolog, which informs viewers that they have been chosen as detectives who must deduce the identity of the werewolf, using clues sprinkled through the film.
