This is not a sequel; nor is it a remake. Instead, it's a musical version of TOM JONES that had its birth in Las Vegas, Nevada. Back in the late 1960s MacPherson and Holden thought it might be fun to add some bare skin, cut down the sets and add some music to the Fielding classic. It worked on the small Vegas stage but not so well on the screen. Still, it is a bit of fun, and the music doesn't detract from the rollicking tenor of the story.
