Mitchum stars as an American mercenary looking for action south of the border during the Mexican Revolution. He is hired by bandit leader Roland to intercept an arms shipment being delivered to the government troops by Scott. Mitchum discovers not only the guns, but also the charms of Scott's wife, Thiess. The film falls into a series of gun battles and double crosses until the guns wind up with Roland and Mitchum rides off with Thiess. This is a standard adventure, with Mitchum playing his part tongue-in-cheek. leave a comment
