Famed documentarist Frederick Wiseman (TITICUT FOLLIES, HIGH SCHOOL) looks at the rarefied world of classical dance. Wiseman spent three months filming the American Ballet Theatre but apparently failed to record any of the intrigue and rampant egoism for which dancers are notorious; the
resulting film is 170 minutes of very slow-moving cinema verite. Best for fanatics, especially aspiring ballerinas.
