Badman's Gold

1951, Movie, NR, 56 mins

starstarstarstar
B western featuring Carpenter as the lean, tough marshal who is sent to help a local lawman (Teters) find out who's looting local stagecoaches. Carpenter enlists the aid of Lockwood and Tarrell, who help him defeat the baddies. Daisy the Dog may have been the same pup used in the "Blondie" series, although that series was produced by Columbia from 1938 through 1950. Since BADMAN'S GOLD was made after the last "Blondie" feature, it's safe to say that the dog made a conscious career choice and was not on loan-out from Harry Cohn (who was always reluctant to loan players). This picture was obviously shot for very little money and some of the exteriors are noticeably interiors. Not very good, but fans of Daisy will love it. leave a comment
