Some films are just so awful that they defy adjectival assault. Such is the case with BAD GUYS, an inconsequential saga of two cops who turn to the world of pro wrestling after being suspended from the force. Baldwin and Jolly are the heroes in question who find new employment after a scandalous altercation in a biker bar. They're transformed by grizzled old-timer LeBell into "The Boston Bad Guys," and a match is set against "The Kremlin Krushers," a pair of Soviet brawlers managed by LeBell's old rival (Booth). Slamming this film for its myriad ineptitudes (poor script, lack of direction, acting, subsophomoric humor, inane jingoism, and so forth) is simply too easy a task. Rather, let BAD GUYS gather some well-deserved dust as it patiently sits on the shelf of your local video store, waiting until eternity for some hapless soul to rent it. leave a comment
