Back From Eternity

It's a rare moment when the original creator of a movie has an opportunity to remake it. That was the case when John Farrow did BACK FROM ETERNITY seventeen years after he did FIVE CAME BACK. You'd think that he would have learned from his errors first time around. This time, with more money and more time, he made a much duller picture. The acting is somewhat better than in the first film, but 22 minutes were added and the fat is evident. The story is, by now, familiar. A plane crashes in South American head-hunting territory.
