Snodgress is a stay-at-home spinster who has devoted her entire life to her invalid father, Milland, a cruel tyrant. He dominates her mind and prevents her from contact with the outside world, particularly any meetings with men. She finally rebels in horrible retribution. A fair psychological thriller.
