Incredibly inept and silly adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' adventure yarn. McClure is a lackluster hero who joins scientist Cushing in his machine that burrows its way into the earth until reaching the society of Pellucidar, inhabited with hokey flying creatures. The special effects
look like they've been done in somebody's basement, and the monsters appear to have been rented from the corner costume shop, yet the film's graphic violence makes it unacceptable for even the younger viewers. Two other equally feeble films were part of this series of Burroughs' adaptations
entitled THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT and THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT.
