An entertaining but flimsy Raft vehicle, this picture mixes his gangster image with comedy in an unsatisfactory combination. Raft, a streetwise hood, hooks up with impoverished Miami socialite Costello and they decide to form a partnership, converting her old family mansion into a hideaway gambling casino. Raft feels that Costello's good looks will draw a crowd and with the profits she'll be able to cover her debts.
