Taylor stars as a 55-year-old woman whose looks have gone during her lengthy, unhappy marriage to rich lawyer Fonda. In a last-ditch attempt to save her marriage, she flies to Italy to for plastic surgery on her face, breasts, buttocks and hands. After some fairly disturbing and gory scenes of the operations, Taylor emerges looking 20 years younger. While she awaits the arrival of Fonda, a sleazy playboy, Berger, seduces her.
