Little more than an excuse to parade some hackneyed musical numbers, AROUND THE TOWN's weak story line involves an American producer's holiday in England, during which a talent agent (Vic Oliver) squires the producer (Finlay Currie) and his daughter (Irene Ware) around Londontown, taking
them from one West End show to another, winning the producer's favor and his daughter's hand. Regrettably the singing and dancing here are about as anemic as the plot.
