STAR WARS meets the Arabian Nights in this special-effects extravanganza that pits heroic prince Tobias against evil sorcerer Lee. Cushing, Rooney, O'Shea, and Capucine, all enjoying their brief playtime in a flashy costume, help Tobias in his desperate attempt to defeat Lee and save his beloved Samms from the sorcerer's clutches, but it is engaging street waif Sira who gives Tobias a mystical rose, the key to destroying Lee. Someone somewhere must have laid down a law saying that a film for children has to be flashy and stupid, and ARABIAN ADVENTURE is not a law-breaker. leave a comment
