A strong, often very funny film about the corruption of youth by greed and parental pressure to succeed. Richard Dreyfuss stars as Duddy Kravitz, an ambitious young Montreal Jew who loses all contact with his friends and family as he pursues his desperate business transactions. Dreyfuss turns in an early great performance, making Duddy simultaneously loathsome, funny and vulnerable. Read the complete review for The Apprenticeship Of Duddy Kravitz
