World-weary reporter Nader is the only witness to the slaying of a man the public suspects to be a gangland boss. When Nader discovers that the murdered man was an impostor set up by the actual mobster, he tries to spread the truth but is doubted because of his reputation as a drunk. Farfetched city melodrama makes the mistake of trying to combine tough social issues (alcoholism) with a gutsy crime story. leave a comment
