Robards is good as a likable once-a-week philanderer in this sex comedy based on the stage play by Muriel Resnik. Fonda plays his mindless Wednesday date and Jones is the man who wrecks Robards' weekly habit. Murphy recreates her Broadway role as Robards' long-suffering wife.
