Anne Trister

This is a slow-moving but often insightful portrait of a woman artist (Guilhe). The film opens with the funeral of her father in Israel. Soon thereafter Guilhe leaves her home in Switzerland to go to Montreal, where her father lived for a long time. There she meets an old friend of her father's, Ozdogru, who finds a studio in which she can work. She also renews a friendship with Marleau, a child psychologist who insists that Guilhe move out of her hotel and into her spacious apartment, despite the objections of Marleau's boyfriend.
