This delightful baseball comedy stars Paul Douglas as Guffy McGovern, the irascible manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who are firmly entrenched in the basement of the National League until the prayers of a little girl (Donna Corcoran) prompt the angel Gabriel to intervene.
