Child star Withers, niece of the town's newspaper editor, comes to the rescue of a famous movie star, Blaine, who has returned to her hometown to promote her latest movie. A group of gangsters kidnaps the movie queen and holds her for ransom. Withers, with the aid of newspaper reporter Kent, takes on the racketeers and frees the starlet.
