Overlong French film starring Demazis as a young peasant girl who is seduced by a pimp from the big city. The procurer takes the girl from the farm and puts her to work on the streets. Soon she has an illegitimate child and her father sends one of his helpers to go fetch his wayward daughter. The angry father takes his daughter and her baby and locks them in the cellar. Demazis' old sweetheart finds out that she's being held prisoner and helps her get away to the mountains when a flood hits the cellar. She feels guilty for having left her father, so the couple return to the farm to face the music. Dad softens and gives his consent for them to marry. Strictly for fans of French melodrama. leave a comment
