In ANGEL 3 we find Molly (now played by Kapture, the third actress to essay the role) in New York, working as a free-lance photographer. She is still concerned with the plight of street people and is shooting photos for a book on the subject. As a means of making ends meet she takes an outside assignment shooting a gallery opening, and there she discovers her long-lost mother, Navarro, who abandoned her as a child. Patching things up with her mom, Kapture learns she has a half-sister, who has disappeared. When Mom is blown up by a car bomb shortly thereafter, Kapture is determined to find her half-sister and bring her mother's killer to justice. The first two ANGEL movies were surprisingly tame when it came to sex, but ANGEL 3 goes out of its way to exploit the gratuitous nudity and sexual titillation missing from the first two films. Director Tom DeSimone (REFORM SCHOOL GIRLS) wallows in the sleazier aspects of the material, parading everything from streetwalking to porno filmmaking before the camera with drooling zeal. As Molly (aka "Angel"), Kapture is the first actress to play the role who looks fairly convincing acting tough. She's also just about the only woman in the film who keeps her clothes on. leave a comment
