Attractive dramatics teacher Gilbert becomes the center of innocent Rooney's busy world. He is at first infatuated with her, then blurts his love and asks for her hand in marriage. After learning that she is engaged to another he goes into a tailspin, seemingly never to recover, but Judge Hardy (Stone) and the rest of Rooney's family help to heal his injured heart, as does girl friend Rutherford. A pleasing and humorous outing, this is the seventh in a delightful series and the first directed by veteran moviemaker Van Dyke. leave a comment
