This charming, low-budget sci-fi features Klaus Kinski as a fanatical scientist who is obsessed with constructing the perfect android. Kinski's problems with escaped convicts who invade his private space-station laboratory are complicated when his helper, Don Opper, a simple robot, falls in love with a pretty female convict and grows jealous of Kendra Kirchner, who will render the Opper's series of robots obsolete. Opper's performance is delightful and interesting, and the entire movie is a perfect example of what wonders talent and originality can make of a small budget. leave a comment
