1941, Movie, NR, 50 mins

After they're insulted by Maw Brynn, a neighboring all-girls school, the members of a Quinceton College fraternity decide to enter Bob (Johnny Downs) in the girls' beauty contest. Donning his best dress, Bob goes off and does what a man has to do. Freud would have had a field day with this slapstick Hal Roach quickie. The score was nominated for an Academy Award, as was the song "Out of the Silence" (Lloyd B. Norlind). leave a comment
