A big winner at the Canadian Genie Awards, MY AMERICAN COUSIN took honors as the year's Best Picture and won Best Director and Best Screenplay for Sandy Wilson, Best Actress for Margaret Langrick, and Best Actor for John Wildman. Its US success, however, has been limited to art-house showings and only moderately enthusiastic reviews.
