The Ambassador: Review

Mitchum is the US ambassador to Israel who goes about bringing the sides of the Middle East conflict together despite the objections of security advisor Hudson. The story also deals with Mitchum's wife (Burstyn) and her affair with a Palestine Liberation Organization leader. This is a well-constructed political drama with Mitchum's always-welcome, world-weary face lending weight to the role.
