Almost Heroes

A low, mildly vulgar farce about a ragtag crew of morons and misfits racing the Lewis and Clark expedition to the Pacific. The year is 1804, and aristocratic Leslie Edwards (Matthew Perry), a self-aggrandizing sissy who fancies himself a naturalist, engages the rough-hewn Bartholomew Hunt (the late Chris Farley, in his last role) to help him steal Lewis and Clark's glory. Of course, the famous explorers have a two-week head start, and three-quarters of the Edwards and Hunt expedition decamps for New Orleans before the trip gets started, but Edwards will not be daunted.
