A high-spirited, energetically animated feature that expands on FANTASIA's idea of using classical music as a basis for cartoon movement. Director Bozzetto's style is frantic in pace and occasionally violent, but his use of color and line is dazzling. Each segment of the film is rich and funny, but the evolution of life from the last few drops of a Coca-Cola bottle set to Ravel's "Bolero" is a true showstopper. leave a comment
