Badly dubbed sexpotboiler about a meek bank clerk who goes daffy for voluptuous Sandrelli, marries her, and is then horror-struck to find that she bores him every waking moment. He impregnates her, and while she awaits the child, Hoffman goes off with Gravina, a more attractive companion. He cannot divorce because of Italy's stringent laws.
