Badly dubbed sexpotboiler about a meek bank clerk who goes daffy for voluptuous Sandrelli, marries her, and is then horror-struck to find that she bores him every waking moment. He impregnates her, and while she awaits the child, Hoffman goes off with Gravina, a more attractive companion.
He cannot divorce because of Italy's stringent laws. His lawyers battle for his new love, however, and with help from changing laws, he is granted the divorce and marries Gravina. A stumbling, mumbling mess of a film that does much to confirm the notion that actors have no sense of career
direction.
