Daredevil, reckless pilot O'Brien is hired by Bellamy when two of Bellamy's airmail pilots quit. O'Brien runs off with Bond, another pilot's wife, and Bellamy takes the most dangerous mission, crashing into a mountain. A penitent O'Brien lands on the mountain, damaging the plane, but he rescues his employer, then takes off but the damaged plane fails. O'Brien compels Bellamy to parachute, then crashlands the plane. Critically injured, all the vain O'Brien can say while being rushed to the hospital is, "How do I look?" The film is similar in plot and character profiles to ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS (1939). leave a comment
