Set in 1983 — the heyday of high-school sex comedies — this sweet, melancholy film from first-time writer-director Tod Williams bears little resemblance to its day-glo, synth-pop forebears. Seventeeh-year-old Sebastian Cole (Adrian Grenier) returns to his drizzly hometown to live with his transvestite stepfather Hank (Clark Gregg).
