A fairly faithful adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, directed by Bunuel in Mexico. Shipwrecked in a storm, sailor Robinson Crusoe (Dan O'Herlihy) finds himself washed up on the shore of a desert island. All other hands have been killed in the storm, but Crusoe is able to salvage a cat, a dog, and some weapons and provisions from the wreckage.
