The Adventurers

Boer commando Hawkins, after the South African war in 1902, comes across a corpse wearing a pouch brimming with diamonds. Thinking the war is still on and that he might be taken captive and the gems confiscated, Hawkins buries the treasure and stumbles back to civilization, where he learns peace has been declared. He enlists the aid of a disgruntled bartender, Aslan, another young Boer, Hammond, and a cashiered British officer, Price, who finances the expedition to the outback to retrieve the buried diamonds.
