Filmed in Cinecolor with eye-catching tropical scenes, this story is a remake of EBB TIDE. Three beachcombers--Kelly, Calhoun, and Abbott--sign on board a small ship en route to Australia whose cargo, they later discover, is "champagne" that is really water. The ship anchors at a remote
island for supplies and here the adventurers, along with fetching Fleming, encounter a lunatic, Napier, who rules the natives as a godlike figure, a murderous tyrant who kills Kelly and Abbott before being driven into a snake pit by Calhoun, who sails off with Fleming. Low budget and poor script
add up to a few captivating scenes, but mostly a dull trek through the foliage.
