The title of this film is taken from the hand of cards held by Wild Bill Hickok when he was shot in the back by a cross-eyed drunk named Jack McCall on August 2, 1876. This is the only factual reference in this saga. Hickok (Tim McCoy), who does not so much as carry a six-gun, routinely
manhandles his foes to the local hoosegow, managing to reform a ne'er-do-well son, save a ranch, and clean up a gambling hall in the process. All of this would be utter nonsense if McCoy did not carry it off with such a distinctive flair.
