Absolute Beginners: Review

Julien Temple's adaptation of Colin MacInnes' 1958 cult novel is surely one of the most visually inventive and energetic films to come out of England since A Hard Day's Night. It's the tale of two swinging English teens, Colin (Eddie O'Connell) and Crepe Suzette (Patsy Kensit), who come of age against the backdrop of racial tension and the emerging youth culture of late 1950s London.
