Fast-paced actioner has Randolph Scott again donning the thumb-worn marshal's badge to clean up an end-of-the-trail cow town overrun with callous cattle barons and grim gunslingers, not dissimilar to the tales spun in VIRGINIA CITY and DODGE CITY. Scott is a Wyatt Earp-type lawman who slugs and shoots it out with the likes of Jack Lambert while Buchanan, the local sheriff, follows his own stereotype into drunken stupors.
