Contrived period comedy where the boys buy the Edison Movie Studio in 1912 from con man Clark. After they discover they've been bilked, they follow the swindler to Hollywood where they become stuntmen and finally discover Clark using the pseudonym Sergei Trumanoff and directing action films.
Bud and Lou trap Clark as he is making off with the studio payroll and chase him to the airport, a marvelous chase worthy of any in the Sennett era; the preceding footage, unfortunately, does not live up to this highlight. Tired routine and a poor script add up to an average Abbott and Costello
programmer.
