After the thundering success of BUCK PRIVATES, Universal sent Abbott and Costello out to sea with a change of clothing. This time they performed some of their classic skits while adjusting to the wavy ocean waters. While Abbott and Costello handle the laughs, Dick Powell handles the story. He's cast as a popular singer who is tired of making all the girls swoon. In an attempt to avoid his ever-present fans he joins the Navy, but soon finds he is pursued by gal reporter Dodd.
