A spirited romantic comedy about a 17-year-old runaway from a convent who finds refuge with a count. She disrupts his socially proper lifestyle by getting involved with his son, much to the displeasure of the fellow's fiancee, who puts up a battle for her man. In the end the runaway runs
away again, but this time with a peasant boy, turning her back on high society.
