Collier is an empty-pocketed writer living in a boarding house who inherits a fortune. He gets enough cash to come to the aid of Starke, who is living in a castle with her unfaithful husband. He buys the castle and succeeds in winning her over. Black actor Clarence Muse, in one of the
early films of his long picture career, steals every scene he's in, even though his is merely a secondary supporting role.
