A young engineer from Bombay who works in an English factory decides to set up his own business when the workers at his company go on strike. His manufacturing of plastic elephants fails, however, and his frustration mounts as his uncle tries to marry him off to a wealthy businessman's
daughter. A well-meaning portrayal of a foreigner's alienation, which fails to say anything new or interesting.
